Updated 3 November 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of aaerl.com, run by AAERL. Purchases, assessments, advisory work and licenses are governed by the terms shown at purchase or in their written agreements.

Information only

Content on this site is general information about energy measurement. It is not engineering certification, legal, regulatory or compliance advice. JL-26, the Joule Ledger, is a proprietary measurement method published by AAERL. It is not a consensus standard and has not been adopted by any standards body or regulator.

Grades and results

An audit grade (Declared, Witnessed or Replicated) says who checked a result and how. It is not a certification, an accreditation or a regulatory approval. Results produced with the free tools are arithmetic checks only and carry no grade.

The site, the JL-26 text and its names are owned by AAERL. You may quote short passages with attribution and a link. Commercial use of the method needs a license. Other names mentioned are trademarks of their owners, used for identification only, and do not imply affiliation.
